At St Paul's College, we are incredibly proud of the depth of support and opportunity our Agriculture students receive — both locally and across the region. Our Show Team continues to represent the College with pride and professionalism at competitions right across the country.

Over the past term, our Show Team has attended competitions in Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney, Scone and a number of local shows, consistently achieving outstanding results. For many of our students, these events are the first time they have shown livestock in front of expert judges, and the growth in their confidence and skill has been remarkable to watch.

Learning beyond the classroom

In addition to our Show Team, our Agriculture students attend many off-campus activities to widen their knowledge of the industry. Recently our students were fortunate to attend an industry field day at a local farming enterprise called “Future Ready Your Flock”, encouraging students to think ahead about innovation and sustainability in the sheep industry.

Days like these bridge the gap between what students learn in the classroom and the realities of modern agriculture. They meet farmers, agronomists and researchers, ask questions, and begin to picture themselves in a future career on the land or in the wider food and fibre sector.

“The best learning happens when our students are out in the paddock, hands on, solving real problems alongside the people who do this every day.”

A community that empowers our students

We are grateful for the incredible support we receive from our agricultural community — from our dedicated College mentors to industry professionals who continue to share their knowledge and passion. Their collaboration and expertise empower our students to grow as future leaders in the agriculture industry.

As we look ahead to the coming season, we are excited to continue building these partnerships and creating even more opportunities for our students to learn, compete and connect. We can't wait to see where their journey takes them next.
